Privacy policy

• Account details — name, @handle, email, phone number, city and an optional bio and profile photo.
• Messages and Sparks — the content you send, who you sent it to, and when.
• Wallet ledger — every transaction, with amount, type, counterparty and status. Financial records are retained even after you delete an account, because we are required to keep them.
• Media — photos and video you upload, plus dimensions and file size.
• Waitlist email — if you submit the form on this website. Nothing else on this site is tracked.

• We do not sell your personal data.
• We do not use the content of your private messages to target advertising.
• We do not put third-party advertising or analytics trackers on this marketing site. There are no cookie banners here because there are no tracking cookies.

Private chats are visible to their participants. A Spark set to friends is shown only to mutual follows; a public Spark can be seen by anyone in the app. Your wallet balance is never shown to another user — only the transactions you were part of, and only to the parties involved.

A small number of TumaChat staff can access an operations console to investigate abuse reports, resolve payment disputes and comply with legal requests. That access is logged.

Ads in TumaChat are bought by local businesses and targeted by placement and locality — not by reading your messages. Advertisers receive aggregate impression and click counts, never your identity.

• Ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct it.
• Delete your account. Content is removed; the financial ledger is retained as required.
• Leave the waitlist at any time by replying to any email from us or writing to the address below.
